Helmets are not optional.  Before even sitting on a bike every child should be wearing a properly fitted, CPSC/ASTM certified helmet.  Luckily, all helmets sold in the United States must be CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) certified and most are ASTM (International Safety Standards), so just about any helmet can protect your child during a fall.  Without a proper fit however, a certified helmet may fail to protect your child from a head injury.  As a result, purchasing the right size helmet and properly adjusting it to fit your child head is essential.

All bike helmets are sized according to head circumference.  To measure your child¡¯s head, use a soft tape measure and measure the circumference of their head one inch above their eyebrows (the thickest part of their head).  If you are unsure of your child head circumference, a chart of the average head size of kids ranging from 12 months to 8 years can be found onWhat to Look for When Purchasing a Child¡¯s Bike Helmet.

If you already have a helmet, please visit the NHSTA¡¯s (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) Easy Step to Properly Fit a Bicycle Helmet, to ensure the helmet is a good match for your child.  In addition, if your child is into skateboarding, be sure their helmet is certified with ASTM standards, as CPSC standards are for bicycling.  Dual certified helmets, as listed below, are certified for both.

Toddler Helmets

Lightweight is key with toddlers.  In-mold and Zip-mold construction helmets tend to weight less than Hardshell and are also more durable.  If you live in a hot climate, look for a helmet with lots of vents.  Need a helmet for a trailer, try to Specialized Small Fry as it has a flattened back, finally if you want a dual-climate helmet, go for the Bern Nina/Nino as it can convert to a snow helmet.

Return / Exchange Policy

  1. Cancellation
    • Request for cancellation if product has not been dispatched after payment completion.
  2. Return
    • Request for return within 7 calendar days following delivery date.
    • Check seller’s approval on buyer’s request.
    • Buyer sends product in question to seller.
    • Seller receives and checks returned product
    • Seller approves return and return is completed.
  3. Exchange
    • Request for exchange within 7 calendar days following receipt of delivery.
    • Check seller’s approval on buyer’s request.
    • Buyer sends product in question to seller.
    • Seller receives and checks returned product
    • Seller send new product to buyer, and buyer receives it, and exchange is completed.
  • How to Request for Cancellation/Return/Exchange
    • You can request for cancellation after completing payment and if product has not been dispatched by then, cancellation request is approved and you can receive refund.
      But, in case seller has already dispatched product, cancellation request can be rejected.
    • You can request for return after obtaining product, you should send the product in question to seller.
      After seller checks if returned product is flawed, and approves your request, return is completed and payment is refunded.
    • You can request for exchange if wrong product is shipped, you should send the product in question to seller.
      After seller checks if returned product is flawed, seller approves your request, and re-sends new product.
  • Criteria for Return/Exchange

    You can request for return/exchange within 7 calendar days following delivery date. But return/exchange request cannot be made in following cases:

    • When request due to change of mind is made after 7 calendar days following delivery date
    • When product is used, destroyed or damaged
    • When tag attached to product is removed or package of product is opened and product value is damaged
    • When sealed package is opened or packaging materials are lost
    • When too much time has passed and product value has so decreased that its re-sale is not possible
    • When return/exchange request is made for customized product such as hand-made shoes or accessories
    • When components of product (including free gift) have been used or lost
    • When buyer did not follow instructions included in product
  • As e-voucher products are immediately sent to your e-mail, returns/exchanges are not available. Please take note of this before purchase, and input your e-mail address correctly.
