WHY DO I NEED THE INFANT INSERT AND HOW LONG DO I NEED TO USE IT?

Our Infant Inserts (sold separately or included with Bundle of Joy) are designed so that you can safely and ergonomically carry your baby from early on. The Ergobaby Infant Insert was designed for use with babies from infancy to age 4-6 months (from 7-12 lbs) , or for babies more than 12 lbs but younger than 4 months or without strong and consistent head and neck control. It is designed to provide head and neck support and to ensure your newborn is correctly seated while in the Ergobaby Carrier.

The Infant Insert is designed to grow with your baby. The top rounded edge of the back and neck support padding can be folded outward to provide more padding and neck support for smaller infants.

The bottom pillow in the Infant Insert can be removed from the Insert and placed inside the carrier, with your baby sitting on top of it. Use of the pillow alone is for babies who are either too short to bend at the knees when seated in the Carrier or would like to be seated higher in the Carrier.

Use the shell of the Infant Insert without the pillow for larger or taller babies who still need head and neck support.

Once your baby can hold her/his head up for long periods of time and can be seated comfortably in an ergonomic position in the Carrier, the use of the Infant Insert is no longer necessary.

WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF THE ERGOBABY PERFORMANCE CARRIER?

Ergobaby recommends a weight limit of 45 pounds for its Performance carrier. Our carrier will accommodate you as long as you and your baby are happy using it.

AT WHAT AGE CAN I CARRY MY BABY IN THE BACK CARRY POSITION?

Each parent and child is different but usually around 6 months your baby will be ready to be carried on the back and parents are comfortable not having their baby in direct line of sight. Baby must have strong head and neck control and be comfortably sitted consistently in the carrier in an ergonomic, frog-leg position with knees even to hips. People with larger babies who are more developed may choose to put their baby in the back carry position even earlier than 6 months especially for longer carry times since many parents find it more comfortable to wear heavy babies on their backs.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ERGOBABY PERFORMANCE CARRIER AND THE PERFORMANCE VENTUS CARRIER?

Fabric: Both carriers back panels are made from lightweight breathable mesh to keep baby cool. The Ergobaby Performance Ventus back panel is made from 3D Air mesh with no lining to allow maximum airflow, while the Performance Carrier back panel is made from Air mesh with a jersey knit lining for more comfort.

Pocket: The Ergobaby Performance Ventus has only a small pocket for the hood to allow more ventilated surface, while the Performance Carrier has a large zippered storage pocket to conveniently carry your baby essentials on the go.

ARE THE BABY CARRIERS MACHINE WASHABLE?

Yes, all of our carriers are machine washable.

  • How to Request for Cancellation/Return/Exchange
    • You can request for cancellation after completing payment and if product has not been dispatched by then, cancellation request is approved and you can receive refund.
      But, in case seller has already dispatched product, cancellation request can be rejected.
    • You can request for return after obtaining product, you should send the product in question to seller.
      After seller checks if returned product is flawed, and approves your request, return is completed and payment is refunded.
    • You can request for exchange if wrong product is shipped, you should send the product in question to seller.
      After seller checks if returned product is flawed, seller approves your request, and re-sends new product.
  • Criteria for Return/Exchange

    You can request for return/exchange within 7 calendar days following delivery date. But return/exchange request cannot be made in following cases:

    • When request due to change of mind is made after 7 calendar days following delivery date
    • When product is used, destroyed or damaged
    • When tag attached to product is removed or package of product is opened and product value is damaged
    • When sealed package is opened or packaging materials are lost
    • When too much time has passed and product value has so decreased that its re-sale is not possible
    • When return/exchange request is made for customized product such as hand-made shoes or accessories
    • When components of product (including free gift) have been used or lost
    • When buyer did not follow instructions included in product
  • As e-voucher products are immediately sent to your e-mail, returns/exchanges are not available. Please take note of this before purchase, and input your e-mail address correctly.
